Another win for Wessex! The case of Galbraith which allows an advocate to ask the court to dismiss a case where the evidence presented by the prosecution is unreliable or so tenuous that it would be unsafe to reach a verdict upon is rarely used in the magistrates court and where used is rarely successful.

Such an application made in relation to an allegation of witness intimidation was successful last week and the client immediately released from custody a very happy man.
